2013–2014

Camphill Sheiling School sculptures.

Two sculptures representing fire and water were created to celebrate sixty years of the Sheiling School’s life in 2012. They were placed in the Sensory Garden outside Thorn Hall. This was a specially designed space with a water feature and plants that were brightly coloured and scented.

The project took a week to complete. Three shaped Thermolite blacks, glued together, create the framework of a sculpture. All the school’s classes, assisted by their teachers and helpers, covered the blocks in pieces of tile cement. Colours and shapes were chosen to express Fire and Water.
