This is a journey through the fundamental themes of Wolfram von Eschenbach’s Parzival Initiation Epic. Recorded in the twelfth century, it seems particularly relevant today.
The course is structured around a retelling of the tale, readings from the story, steps towards understanding and experimental artistic activity.
Archetypal images from the history of European art will act as leitmotifs.
The course will take place over two weekends, starting on a Friday evening and ending Sunday lunch time.
