Schieling Schools Thornbury, Anniversary Sculptures, 2012

These two sculptures (representing fire and water) were created to celebrate the 60 years of the Schools life. They were placed in the 'Sensory Garden', outside Thorn Hall. This is a specially designed space with a water feature and plants that are scented and brightly coloured.

Time- 1 week.

Three shaped Thermolite block, glued together, constitute one sculpture. All the schools classes, assisted by their teachers and helpers, covered the blocks in pieces of tile mosaic. Colours and shapes were chosen to express 'fire' and 'water'.
